An update from another site.........

"There are meetings going on between the organisers, police and local authorities. The starting point has definitely changed, look for announcements in the next few weeks (The services would have struggled with 2000 bikes never mind 10000 and getting thousands of bikes out of the services onto a motorway would be far too dangerous). I understand the numbers are now so high the end point is also likely to change"

I fear it could all colapse under its own weight!!
Any other ride-out like it I've been on  have had the money sent in then they sent out the stickers and/or passes, there is a very misleading reference to buying a wrist band on the A.H. registration page that refers to the standard ones for £2.95, these are not the ride-out ones.
I've seen references to these being bought on another bike forum as THE ones for the day, which they are not.
How are they going to dish out and take payment for 13000+ people on the day?
That many bikes will take over and effectively clos all roads on the route, I cant see that being allowed to happen.
I know quieing is a British national pass time but there are limits, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about the whole event now though.

Just seen an announcement on another forum that the organizers have stopped registration and it wont be reopened, but it is all going ahead with the support of the Police and local authority.
There will be another meeting next week and an announcement will be made as to where it will start and finish, no part of the route will be motorway so 'L' platers need not worry.

David, I think there are a lot of bikers going unregistered, but they wont be cleared by security so wont be able to go into Lynham or where-ever we end up!
They will still take you £5er though C:C:C
